Fundraising Heating Up As We Head Into Summer
Log A Load For Kids off to a Fast Start

After raising over $3.6 million in 2022, Log A Load For Kids is continuing to raise funds at an incredible pace in its 35th year of partnership with CMN Hospitals! National support from International Paper and the American Loggers Council has enabled Log A Load to recruit new volunteers and tap into sources of year-round fundraising. From north, south, east, and west, new events are constantly popping up across the map!
Amid the excitement of this new growth, Log A Load’s existing fundraising events are also finding renewed interest. This spring, there have been multiple events raising over $100,000 each, including the 25th annual Klays for Kids fundraiser in Georgetown, SC (pictured above). Here’s to another 35 years of Log A Load For Kids!
Chevron increases 80% YOY with return of balloon icons
The numbers are in, and this year’s Chevron campaign was a huge success! The campaign, supporting 12 CMN Hospitals markets, engaged all of Chevron’s 300 corporate-owned and operated locations. After multiple years of declining fundraising, the 2023 campaign posted a fundraising total of $90,589 – up 80.4% from 2022! The success of the campaign can be attributed to the return of our in-store balloon icons, a tried-and-true method of point-of-sale fundraising.
Publix Partnership Focuses on Cause Connection

In a matter of days, 18-year-old Samerah went from an active, vibrant high schooler to a patient whose condition was so severe, she was put at the top of the liver transplant list. Samerah serves as a 2023 local CMN Hospitals Champion for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
As a Publix associate and a patient at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Samerah understands the importance of raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during their annual campaign. These funds provided her with the opportunity to participate in their transplant and dialysis camp, have access to vital medical equipment, and receive life-saving treatment.
For the 2023 point-of-sale campaign with Publix, our member hospital in Atlanta partnered with CMN Hospitals to feature Samerah in national content marketing. This associate cause connection also caught the attention of Publix as they featured Samerah in their internal communication during the campaign.
The collaboration between member hospital Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Publix, and CMN Hospitals to feature Samerah elevated the overall marketing efforts for the Publix campaign. Thank you Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for your partnership!
