The 2021 Impact Reports help display how Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals uses the funds raised by our valued partners and member hospitals. Providing this information to corporate partners, program participants, and the public is fundamental to our continued fundraising success; individuals and partners want to know where the funds they donate are being used.

To solidify the commitment that our top partners have with local CMN Hospitals, we must showcase the impact we have as a nonprofit to educate, inspire, and steward at all levels of each partnership. Impact Reports are a concise and powerful way to do so.

 Impact reports highlight the breakdown of how funds raised were used in 2021 under six key categories:

• Charitable Care – Supporting the cost of patient care including medical bills, travel assistance, home expenses, medical equipment, and specialized continued care.
• Advancement Services – Providing funds that advance the physical and programmatic excellence to continue to deliver the best possible services for the best possible patient outcomes in the future. This includes expansion projects or capital campaigns.
• Education – Providing education to support patients, families, and the community. This includes education services for the patient and family, partnerships with local schools and continued education for hospital staff to best treat and prevent illness.
• Equipment – Providing the funding for all types of life-saving equipment. This includes giraffe beds, flash CT scanners, ECMO machinery, MEG machines and transport equipment like helicopters and ambulances.
• Research – Providing the funding necessary to continue innovative, transformational research. Including the creation of medical advances, finding cures and engaging in clinical trials.
• Patient Services – Providing services that support the health and well-being of the patient and the patient family. Including art therapy, music therapy, pet therapy, outdoor gardens and playgrounds, playrooms, comfort tools, pastoral care, counseling and case management, rehab, telemedicine, community-based clinics or mobile clinics.
