Ask at the Register Insights Report & Giving Sentiments Research Project
With the rapid changes spurred through the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is conducting research to understand how current donors, participants and supporters are feeling about giving to charity during this volatile time. CMN Hospitals will gather insights that will fuel smart decisions driven by consumer insights and marketplace research.
Ask at the Register Insights
Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s commissioned a consumer insights survey through industry-leading survey company, SurveyMonkey to understand the current sentiment around giving/asking at the register.
The survey was designed to gauge general population sentiment around giving at the register in the last 30 days. They were also asked what style of giving would they prefer when asked, as well as if they would support their local children’s hospital to help with the effects of COVID-19.
Survey Highlights
63% – Percentage of respondents that have been asked to give to charity while checking out at a store in the last 30 days.
58% – Percentage of respondents prefer round up as the option to give when asked at the register.
81% – Percentage of respondents would feel neutral or positive about being asked to give to charity at checkout.
58% – Percentage of respondents said that they are Very likely/Likely to donate to their local children’s hospital to help with the effects of COVID-19.

Giving Sentiments Surveys
Over the course of 2020, we will continue to work with various stakeholders throughout the organization to engage in more consumer sentiment research around various topics that help shape organizational strategy and provide key customer data. All research will be shared throughout the organization along with useable insights.
