The past several years CDOs have enjoyed time to network with peers and gain insights into the fundraising through various trainings offered. This year, we have changed the focus and will be offering an opportunity to engage with hospital CDOs and CEOs; as well as strategic partner executives.

Throughout this week, we will:

• Focus on Topics and trends that will help us increase our impact on children’s hospitals
• Recognize fundraising innovation, major milestones, individuals and organizations within the Network
• Network and share compelling content across our social networks to market the cause
• Be inspired by the incredible children we serve — national Champions from the U.S. and Canada

CDO Specific Sessions

Network Strategy Summit:  The Network Strategy Summit, held Wednesday, April 8 1:15 – 3:45 pm, is a unique opportunity for hospital CDOs, strategic partner executives and strategic partner contacts to come together during Children’s Hospitals Week. The goal is to engage the audience in conversations focused on the critical importance of funds raised to the future of children’s health, as well educate on marketplace trends that impact that work.  The session will also provide introductions that will facilitate networking and collaboration.  This is a high-level conversation meant to create synergy and drive heightened success in future fundraising campaigns.  CHW is the ideal setting for this gathering as the conversations can continue through the remainder of the time we have together in Orlando.

CDO Summit:  The CDO Summit, held Wednesday, April 8, 3:45 – 5:30 pm, will provide opportunities for attendees to interact and engage with CDO peers, members of the CDO Advisory Committee, and CMN Hospitals Executive Team members. Come prepared with your questions and ready to offer feedback on the upcoming 2020 CDO Advisory focuses. Further information regarding speakers and agenda items will be available on the CDO Hub in the coming weeks.

CDO Dinner:  Wednesday is a free evening to have dinner with your team or a strategic partner at the event. If you find yourself free for dinner you are welcome to join the CMN Hospitals’ Hospital Relations team. Corporate Partner Receptions:  As we started last year, CDOs are invited to attend partner receptions from 5-6 pm each evening. A list of executive and C-suite attendees as well as talking points will be shared in advance.

• Daily productive breaks allow attendees to catch up on work or take advantage of unique learning or networking opportunities
• Partner stations recognizing changes to kids’ healthcare thanks to Network contributions
• Extra Life United and other activities are incorporated into the Welcome Reception
• Content creation opportunities for attendees, including local Champions or ambassadors invited by local markets

Travel Dates

Most attendees should plan to arrive in Orlando on Tuesday, April 7, in time for the official welcome party that evening from 8-10 pm. We will wrap up late Thursday night, April 9, so attendees may leave Friday morning, April 10. If you’re considering extending and/or bringing family to stay through Easter weekend, the hotel has extended our discounted conference rate through Sunday — allowing attendees to choose the departure date that works best for them.
