Changes to Charity Navigator

Charity Navigator recently changed their rating criteria and no longer evaluates and ranks Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals because our operations are not funded largely by individual donations. In order to qualify for a rating, at least 40% of an organization’s revenue must come from individual donations. Most of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ operations are funded by hospital membership fees and donations from corporate partners; donations from individuals to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals stay local and are given directly to their local children’s hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, just like our hospital partners, relies on philanthropy. Children’s healthcare remains underfunded. Kids rely on philanthropy for access to the best equipment, cutting-edge research to develop new treatments and charitable care when their families need it most.
