Three Town Hall calls regarding the Market Alignment Project will be held this month. We will be presenting the strategy and process recommendation for all US Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals members. We feel we have made great strides with our task to propose a market realignment strategy. Thank you to the 94 CDOs who responded to the Market Realignment Survey the many CDOs who provided tremendous insights having already worked together with a neighboring CMN Hospitals member and realigned their markets.
As previously noted, the tenor of the upcoming MAP recommendation promotes a collegial approach, is transparent, clear, predictable and assumes positive intent by all CMN Hospitals members. The process applies rigor in defining the data and why a change is requested, supports donor intent and locally-based CMN Hospitals partners, advances healthy dialogue between members and achieves timely and respectful communications. If, on the rare occasion, negotiations fail to reach an agreement in a timely or collegial manner, the recommendation provides for a Binding Decision based on a peer CDO MAP Council review including a final recommendation of both market assignments and financial transition commitments between members to be ratified as a binding decision by the CMN Hospitals Board of Trustees.
Following the Town Hall calls we will make appropriate edits and host a second opportunity for discussion and feedback at the CDO Summit during the #ChildrensHospitalsWeek events in Orlando, Florida.
