Innovation Corner – Project Spotlight: Beauty Box
At CMN Hospital’s 2018 Fall Business Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, Program Directors were given an opportunity to present CMN Hospital’s Innovation Team with their best fundraising ideas in a competition called Smart Tank. While each team wowed the judges with their local fundraising efforts, the winning idea came from Buffalo’s Oishei Children’s Hospital and their fantastic local partner, The Advantage Company. This group
owns the brick-and-mortar retail location Tony Walker and Co, who’s relationships with beauty brands allow them to create and sell a special gift box to benefit the hospital. Last weekend, February 9, 2019, they raised $10,000 and sold out in record time!
We are in the process of working with The Advantage Company to modify and scale this gift box program. This spring, we’re launching a test of the Beauty Box with a few adjustments. The $40 box will include upwards of $100 worth of product value that Advantage will secure for $20 or less. With a run of 1,000 boxes, if successful, we will see $20,000 in fundraising. Additionally the sale will take place on iWorldFundraising, a platform The Advantage Company created. Once someone purchases the box (or receives it as a gift), they can use that site to purchase a full-sized product, kicking in another sizable donation to the local CMN Hospital. Here’s an example of what will look like.
Mark your calendar for the projected launch date – April 1, 2019!
