Convenience Store Partner Speedway Acquires 1,300 new retail locations in West and Southwest
We are excited to announce that Marathon Petroleum Company, parent company of long-time fundraising partner, Speedway, announced Monday, October 1 that they have closed the acquisition transaction of Andeavor. We congratulate Tony Kenney, President, Speedway, LLC, and member of CMN Hospitals Board of Trustees on this accomplishment.
Speedway will receive approximately 1,300 retail locations through the acquisition. Speedway’s retail footprint will increase from 2,700 locations to approximately 4,000 – including a new presence in the West and Southwest.
Speedway anticipates that fundraising will roll out to the newly acquired locations early in 2019. We are still awaiting a store list, which will provide further insight into which markets will be most impacted. Speedway has shared that this will give them a western and southwestern presence.
Our corporate partnerships team will continue to communicate and work with hospital program directors. As soon as a store list is available, it will be shared via Mission Control as well as further information regarding fundraising plans.
