Top Hospital Fundraising Recognition

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals President and CEO, Teri Nestel, has announced the top fundraising hospitals and foundations for 2021. Recognizing achievements in three different categories — Per Capita Fundraising, Highest Percentage Fundraising Increase, and Overall Total Increase in Fundraising — Nestel noted the top Canadian hospital/foundation and the top U.S. hospital in small, medium, and large markets.

“I am so excited to announce these awards this year,” said Nestel, “because I know just how hard every hospital team worked to achieve these results in the middle of a pandemic.”

Per Capita Fundraising

  • Canada: Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation, Ottawa ($6.65)
  • U.S. Small Market: Piedmont Columbus Regional, Columbus, GA ($5.56)
  • U.S. Medium Market: Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, Harrisburg ($2.87)
  • U.S. Large Market: Riley Hospital Children, Indianapolis ($2.11)

Highest Percentage Fundraising Increase

  • Canada: IWK Foundation, Halifax (262%)
  • U.S. Small Market: Mohawk Valley Health System, Utica (141%)
  • U.S. Medium Market: Hurley Children’s Hospital, Flint (84%)
  • U.S. Large Market: Arkansas Children’s, Little Rock (62%)

Overall Total Increase in Fundraising

  • Canada: Opération Enfant Soleil, Quebec ($11,813,993)
  • U.S. Small Market: Piedmont Columbus Regional, Columbus, GA ($2,961,439)
  • U.S. Medium Market: Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, Harrisburg ($5,604,082)
  • U.S. Large Market: Riley Hospital Children, Indianapolis ($12,140,815)
