Opportunities for Hospital Involvement in #ChildrensHospitalsWeek

The following is a wonderful opportunity geared toward Program Directors, but wanted to make CDOs + Hospital Leadership aware of the opportunities afforded to partners in your area regarding our upcoming Children’s Hospitals Week.

This March, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is hosting the third #ChildrensHospitalsWeek. The annual week raises awareness for the important role that children’s hospitals play in our communities and ensuring they have the funds needed to care for 10 million kids a year. Beginning March 18, #ChildrensHospitalsWeek includes a 90-minute LIVE-athon airing on Facebook and Twitch, raising funds for children’s hospitals. #ChildrensHospitalsWeek can showcase your hospital’s involvement in a larger national conversation.

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Request bandages. Supporters are encouraged to wear a bandage, snap a photo and share it on social media. Hospitals can request #ChildrensHospitalsWeek bandages free of charge here. (Note: Quantities are limited and your Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program director may’ve already requested bandages for your hospital.) We plan to distribute 1 million bandages.
  • Invite influencers. We’re partnering with individuals with large social media followings to promote #ChildrensHospitalsWeek. To engage them, we will send them “influencer boxes” in advance that highlight #ChildrensHospitalsWeek and provide them with materials that they can share on their social channels. You have the opportunity to send these boxes to influencers who you have relationships with, at no cost. Click here to learn more.
  • Share on social and encourage fundraisers. #ChildrensHospitalsWeek social media assets are available here. All supporters are also encouraged to start Facebook fundraisers for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Funds will be directed back to their local children’s hospital.

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program director at your hospital/foundation will have more information on activities that they may be planning locally. We hope that you will join us and participate. If you have questions please feel free to contact Craig Sorenson, Chief Content Development Officer, at csorenson@cmnhospitals.org.
