SickKids Foundation CEO, Ted Garrard, named to the Order of Canada
We extend congratulations to SickKids Foundation CEO, Ted Garrard, who was recently named to the Order of Canada “for his committed leadership in the charitable sector as an innovator who has developed giving strategies in the fields of health care and education”. Created in 1967, the Order of Canada, one of Canada’s highest civilian honors, which recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. Close to 7,000 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order. Their contributions are varied, yet they have all enriched the lives of others and have taken to heart the motto of the Order: DESIDERANTES MELIOREM PATRIAM (“They desire a better country”).
Since 2009, Garrard has been leading SickKids Foundation that raises funds for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He is a wonderful advocate of CMN Hospitals and we are proud to have him as part of our network.
