Changing the Future with tiptap Touchless Fundraising Option

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for children’s hospitals with a vision to change kids’ health and change the future. We understand the impact of fundraising, therefore recognize the importance in examining the needs of today, being mindful of the donor environment and thinking differently. This is the reason why we initiated conversations with tiptap and are one of the first nonprofits in the U.S. to trial the tiptap technology that replaces cash and coins with the simplicity of touchless giving.

During this year’s 30th Speedway Miracle Tournament, participants were able to see this technology in action! There were about 1,000 ‘taps,’ aka touchless credit card transactions, that nearly quadrupled on-course fundraising compared to the 2019 event. Receiving raving reviews from Speedway participants and donors, this only encourages the drive to incorporate the tiptap technology into future initiatives and events.

What does this mean for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals?

This innovative technology has many opportunities including the ability to replace coin canisters and other traditional forms of fundraising, removing the process of swiping credit cards at in-person events, and allowing people to donate in the moment. We are excited to continue the partnership with tiptap through point-of-sale campaigns and even more in-event fundraising.

Stay tuned, there’s more coming!

Forward-thinking, we are also exploring ways tiptap can support member hospitals, which will be shared once available.
