Play Yellow Drives it Down the Middle for 2020
The Play Yellow team has some great shots in the works for 2020. Callaway will be creating special Play Yellow golf balls and packaging which will be available across their retailers and golf shops including Dick’s Sporting Goods and PGA TOUR Superstores in the Spring. Troon Golf Management has agreed to take on Play Yellow and fundraise at their courses and golf shops similar to Marriott Golf and TPC courses. Troon manages 500 golf courses across the world. The team is also working with Topgolf to create fundraising events at their locations. The plan is 2020 is to roll out fundraising activities at about 15 locations and grow the implementation from there.
In January, Play Yellow will be featured at the 2020 PGA Show in Orlando with a 600 square foot booth on the show floor. The PGA Show brings together all of the manufacturers, course management companies and golf media for this key event. The Creative Services and Experience Marketing Teams have done some great work to put together elements for the Play Yellow booth.
In February, Play Yellow will officially launch the 2020 campaign at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach, FL and will be followed by The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in March. Also in March, the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play will raise funds for Dell Children’s and have some Play Yellow elements. Previously the tournament has supported a number of other causes in the Austin area and not Dell Children’s. For 2020 they have adopted just two causes, Dell Children’s and the First Tee. The LPGA Kia Classic in Carlsbad, California and LPGA Founder’s Cup in Scottsdale, AZ are looking at adopting Play Yellow at their tournaments in March.
