Innovation Corner – 2019 Official Launch Markets
After the success of our inaugural year of the Official Launch Markets (OLM) program in 2018, the Innovation Team decided to expand the roster to include 10 total hospitals from across the network. To fill the newly opened spots, we sought recommendations from both current OLMs and national staff members who work extensively with our hospitals. After a series of interest and screening calls, the final 10 hospitals listed below were selected. OLM team members will have a variety of opportunities to be a part of what’s “new” at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Each month, they will provide valuable feedback on developing Innovation concepts to ensure that what we are building will not cause unnecessary stress when it makes it to our hospitals. The OLMs will also get to share details of different initiatives that have worked in their market in the past and use the resources of the Innovation Team research and scale these concepts further. Finally, once Innovation concepts are ready for real world testing, the OLMs will get first opportunity to bring these fundraising and awareness campaigns to their markets. These campaigns could be building upon existing initiatives we have with our corporate partners, testing the potential of a new partner relationship, or bringing something never done before to our supporters.
We are excited to have a healthy mix of returning and new OLM team members and look forward to making miracles happen with them this year. If you are interested in learning about how your hospital could be a part of the OLM program, please reach out to Natalie Weston, Manager, Innovation, at nweston@cmnhospitals.org. We do not have immediate capacity to add more hospitals to the OLM program while ensuring that our current members have ample testing opportunities. However, we would love to talk to you more about the program and make sure your hospital is contacted when spots open.
