Change to ALEX AND ANI Partnership

ALEX AND ANI  will no longer be supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals effective March 1, 2019.

In October, ALEX AND ANI notified CMN Hospitals of a significant shift in their business strategy affecting their Charity by Design program and how they work with their non-profit partners. The Charity by Design program has been our primary activation with the company since our partnership began in 2015.  With this change, ALEX AND ANI will no longer commit to long-term partnerships, with unlimited fundraising potential, with any charity organization. Rather, they are focusing on helping many more causes, including smaller, grass-roots charity efforts, on a limited, campaign basis. The maximum length of any campaign will be six months, and will carry a donation cap of $50,000. As such, ALEX AND ANI asked to terminate our existing partnership agreement and convert our relationship to conform to these terms.

CMN Hospitals attempted to negotiate with a proposal that we felt conformed to the new program limitations while allowing us to continue at a level of impact commensurate with a national strategic partnership. ALEX AND ANI declined that proposal and, therefore, CMN Hospitals determined that there is not a reasonable path forward for the national partnership.

As such, the termination of our contract will be effective November 30, followed by a 90-day sell-off period of existing merchandise, concluding February 28, 2019.

However, ALEX AND ANI has expressed that individual hospitals may be able to discuss a potential opportunity for a local fundraising event (i.e. a special charm or events). They have expressed that these opportunities are only likely if the hospital has maintained a strong connection with the local store leadership. If you would like to speak with ALEX AND ANI representative about a local opportunity, please contact Diedre Fraser at Dee@alexandani.com.
