Dear Colleagues,

It’s with great pleasure I announce a new corporate partnership joining our network of great companies doing incredible work on behalf of the kids we serve.

We’re excited to have signed a contract with GameStop and, based on our conversations with their team members, we’re looking forward to a long-term, national partnership with CMN Hospitals with great fundraising opportunities for our local hospitals.

GameStop Inc. and their 3,800 U.S. stores will bring new fundraising and awareness opportunities to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals network beginning next month, when we join forces at the Entertainment Electronics Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

GameStop is the world’s largest video game retailer, offering the best selection of new and pre-owned video gaming consoles, accessories and video game titles, in both physical and digital formats. GameStop also offers fans a wide variety of pop vinyl toys, collectibles, board games and more. Through GameStop’s unique buy-sell-trade program, gamers can trade in video game consoles, games, and accessories, as well as consumer electronics for cash or in-store credit.

I’m giving you all this wonderful news early as the official announcement will come next week, on May 30th, when GameStop will promote its “Trade for Charity” program at E3, benefitting CMN Hospitals.

Next week, you’ll also be hearing more via Essentials about other fundraising activations with GameStop that will include in-store Point of Sale, ecommerce Point of Sale, redemption of “Power Up” rewards points for CMN Hospitals and the aforementioned trade program.

I’m looking forward to joining many of you on the monthly Program Director webinar on Tuesday, June 5 to help share additional details.

Of course, this new partnership ties in perfectly with Extra Life.  We’ll be sharing more in the future about how we will leverage this relationship to build our base of fundraising gamers to unprecedented levels.

Be on the lookout for the official announcement next week and additional details about how your hospital can be involved in this exciting new partnership.

John
